What our past clients had to say:

Meet Meghan Smith

Meghan Smith founded Saltaire Legacy Planning almost six years ago—leaving her partnership at a law firm to build something better. “I took a leap of faith and went out on my own. It was the best decision I’ve ever made.”

Her background spans estate planning, business law, real estate, and more than thirteen years in litigation—which means she understands what her clients have built and exactly what’s at stake. She works alongside your CPA and financial advisor, and is licensed in North Carolina.

Meghan holds a BA in Business Management from Gettysburg College and her J.D. from Western New England University School of Law. Named to Super Lawyers in 2025 and recognized by the Hartford Business Journal’s “40 Under 40,” she is a member of the Connecticut and Tolland County Bar Associations. As the proud wife of a retired U.S. Navy Veteran, she volunteers legal services to veterans and has spoken at the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans at UConn. When she’s not with clients, you’ll find her on the golf course or at the beach with her husband and daughters.

The Saltaire Legacy Planning Difference

Every client who walks through our door gets the same thing—real attention, honest advice, and a process that respects your time. We don’t believe in overwhelming you with legal language or rushing you toward a decision. We believe in slowing down long enough to actually understand your situation before we recommend anything.

Estate planning, probate, and business law all touch the things that matter most—your family, your finances, your life’s work. We take that seriously. Every plan we build is intentional, every conversation is confidential, and every client leaves knowing exactly where they stand.
